The learning environment is outstanding, with world class facilities to enable students to work, enjoy quiet study and socialise.
Our modern Sixth Form facilities are conveniently placed on one site, housed together in a purpose built facility that contains teaching rooms, labs, social space and study rooms.
A 300-seat learning theatre called ‘The Forum’ provides a focal point for a wide range of public events, including talks from leading professionals and also compliments the well equipped teaching classrooms. The Sixth Form also benefits from having large areas for independent supervised study and spaces for students to work collaboratively.
To support the needs of 21st Century learners, a state-of-the-art wireless system covers the whole Sixth Form. Teaching rooms are also fitted with Apple TV to support interaction with our focus on using technology to support learning.
‘G2’, the newly extended Sixth Form Bistro, is a purpose built area serving a variety of meals, drinks and snacks from our award winning executive chef.
The Learning Resource Centre also provides seating for 160 Sixth Form students.
All students benefit from using an iPad; both within lessons and at home. The iPads give students exciting opportunities to create digital content, share work with each other, receive personalised feedback from teachers and benefit from access to the internet and a whole host of subject-specific Apps wherever you are learning
