National Careers Week
Harrogate Grammar School provides the opportunity for students to participate in careers themed weeks during the year in Big Picture and Progression lessons, assemblies, information and resources shared with students and parents/carers through bulletins and social media. This year we will be promoting:
National T Levels Week which will take place on Monday 2nd – Friday 6th December 2024. The week will focus on continuing to raise awareness of the many T Level subjects now available and showcase the success of the programme.
National Green Careers Week which will take place from the 4th - 9th November 2024. The week will focus on students knowing that a green career can be any job, role or occupation that contributes to preserving or restoring the environment and our planet. It can be any industry, not just those seen as ‘green.’ Green careers are a fast-growing global employment sector that touches every company, employer, employee, and education establishment requiring everyone to work together to build a talent pipeline from school through to employment for the thousands and thousands of jobs and roles needed for the future.”
National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) 2025 is the 18th annual celebration of apprenticeships. National Apprenticeship Week brings together businesses and apprentices across the country to celebrate the achievements of apprentices and the positive impact they make to communities, businesses, and the wider economy. NAW 2025 will run from Monday 10th – Sunday 16th of February 2025.
National Careers Week (NCW) is a one-week celebration of careers guidance and free resources in education across the UK. Our aim is to provide a focus for careers guidance activity at an important stage in the academic calendar to help support young people develop awareness and excitement about their future pathways. National Careers Week will run from 3rd - 8th March 2025.
